BRIDGEWATER & DISTRICT CS
Judge - Danielle Jones
6 - 11years (15, 9a)
It was so close between 1 and 2. I’m sure on another occasion you could easily swap around!!!
1. Carrina Brown. I have seen this young lady before and has improved a lot since the last time I saw her. Be careful when doing your patterns that they are straight, also I liked your suit but I felt the trainers spoilt the picture a little. I feel that you just got that little bit extra out of your dog.
2. Hannah Mixides. You were so unlucky to meet the winner but you also did very well it was such a hard choice. You had a nice rapport with your dog and I liked your unobtrusive handling. Just watch feet placings and patterns
3. Lucy Upton haven’t seen this young lady before I feel that you were quite inexperienced compared to the other two, you still coped very well. Just brush up on your techniques and keep up the lovely encouragement you gave to your dog.
12 - 16 years (10, 3a)
I feel that in the older age group then things get a bit more complicated. I asked this group to do a triangle and I slightly moved my feet. Only one person observed this (my winner) and carried out the pattern correctly. You must always make sure that you take note of the judges position!!!!!!!
1. Georgina Ferguson. Again a nice unobtrusive handler who got the best out of her dog and the only one to get the triangle right. Your choice of clothing also complemented your dog well. Just be careful that you don’t run on too far without your dog as it spoils the picture.
2. Helen Rishworth. Another quiet handler who was also dressed appropriately. It was just the feet alignment in the line up at the end that let you down, although I’m sure you will go far.
3. Melissa Light handling a Sheltie. A good handler but I just felt that you didn’t do everything to get the best out of your dog and there wasn’t as much rapport between you as 1 and 2.
17 +(20, 8abs)
I had a very mixed class here ranging from experts to people who had never experienced handling before. Everyone tried very hard and it was so close between 1 and 2, I had to spit hairs between you!!!!!!!!!
1. Marina White. A faultless performance and you got all that you could out of your dog, you also had a good rapport with your dog. Patterns were faultless and dressed appropriately.
2. Jane Ferguson. Another faultless performance, you also had a good rapport with your dog and carried out everything I asked you with ease. The only thing that split you up was in the final line up your dogs front feet were out of line. That’s how picky I had to be!!!!!!!!!
3. D Scher. You were another good handler I just felt that you were not as neat as 1 and 2.
Webmaster - many thanks to Danielle for sending in the report.
