HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?
I started junior handling when i went to the northern ireland rottweiler club April 2007 to watch my new puppys daddy [simba] in a show and i took my puppy [lady] in the puppy walk that day and i thought it was great so i started training classes to learn what to do.
DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?
Just handling and I have started obedience classes.
HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?
I only have Lady my rottie at the moment but we are looking another 1.

WHY?

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?
Rottweilers, dachshund, bulldog.
TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?
The rottweiler has to be stacked in front of the handler for the judge to see how well you can stack your dog, then you show the judge your dogs teeth, the judge will then ask you to run your dog around the ring you must never break the golden rule which is never come between the dog and the judge.
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?
I wear light coloured suits to highlight my black dog.
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?
I went to Crufts in March 08 and got placed in the top 8 for the national show handler of the year.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?
When I got to take my dog to Crufts in Biringham.
IF YOU ONLY HAD ONE 'TOP TIP' TO SHARE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
The one tip I would share would be never forget the golden rule.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT JUNIOR HANDLING?
Getting to take my dog to all the shows and meeting other junior handlers.
WHAT DISAPPOINTS YOU IN JUNIOR HANDLING ?
When you get a judge that judges the dog and not the handler, as the bigger dogs are harder to handle than the wee dogs.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO BRING UP?
Yes why is there no YKC handling classes in Northern Ireland?
