EAST OF ENGLAND LADIES KENNEL SOCIETY OPEN SHOW
3rd AUGUST 2008
JUDGE - HANNAH HADFIELD
Junior handling 6-11 years
First of all thanks for a great entry for my first judging appointment.
A common mistake in the two classes was that competitors did not follow all of my instructions and broke the golden rule.
1st-Samantha Reeve- Handling an Australian Shepherd, I have seen this handler handle many times but today she really pulled out all of the stops. She was dressed smartly in a lilac suit which complemented the dog. Her lines were very precise and executed with ease. She encouraged her dog well and ensured he was clearly directed. Her report with her dog really showed and made her performance joyful to watch.
2nd-Holly Lambert- Handling a Pomeranian, excellent lines were executed and plenty of encouragement was given to her dog. Her dog seemed very willing, a result I’m sure of the great rapport. Her performance wasn’t quite as polished as 1st. Her suit didn’t complement her dog to the degree of 1st.
3rd-Georgia Cheney, handling a Clumber spaniel.
12- 16 years
1st- Emma Tripp- Handling an Irish Red and White setter, a rather modest handler who listened well to all of instructions and stayed calm and collected whilst accomplishing excellent patterns. Her smart black suit complemented her dog perfectly and a great report was shown between handler and dog at all times.
2nd-Keturah-Grace Sesstein- Handling a Tibetan spaniel, also a very good handler who was at one with her dog at all times. She was sympathetic and encouraging towards her dog ensuring great lines and report. Her smart black suit also complemented her dog perfectly.
3rd-Yolander parker, handling a Cocker spaniel.
