HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?
Well I went to a companion dog show once and I really enjoyed watching the junior handlers there. So my granny entered me into a handling class, and I have been doing it since then.
DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?
No I don't.
HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?
I live with two rhodesian ridgebacks, and show one of them regularly and the other one sometimes.
WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?
Well I enjoy showing ridgebacks but I don't mind showing any other breed.
WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?
Rhodesian ridgebacks, afghan hounds, miniature long haired dachshund and whippets.
TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?
Their paws should be placed in a rectangular position with a loose lead neatly hanging down or with a tight lead up behind the ears.
They should extend outwards while they are running.
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?
A grey trouser suit with jacket, a black top and black shoes for the winter and a knee length kilt, beige blouse and brown jacket for the summer.
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?
4th Richmond ch. show 2007, 4th Crufts junior handling 2008, 1st mid limit bitch crufts 2008, 1st Henley-On-Thames, 1st Luton Canine Society, 3rd L.K.A 2007, and lots more.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?
1st in mid limit bitch class because it was my first time I've been to Crufts and I won in front of lots of people who all applauded.
IF YOU ONLY HAD ONE 'TOP TIP' TO SHARE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
It doesn't matter if you don't get placed because you can always try again next year.
