Day 1 Toy Terrier & Utility

YKC handling 6-11 years

1st Abbie Williams handling a Dalmatian, an excellent handler who had good control over her dog and completed neat patterns, presented her dog correctly at all times and was one of the few that showed the dogs bite without getting the lead in the way or covering the dog’s nose.

2nd Henry Fairburn handling a Chihuahua, another excellent handler however patterns were not quiet as neat as 1

3rd Cara Grime a good handler with a lot of potential, was unsure of patterns so asked and managed to complete neatly.

12-16 years

1st Keturah Sesstein handling a Tibetan spaniel, very difficult to fault, patterns were neat and dog was presented well at all times with good shadowing, coped well with a stubborn dog. Best YKC Handler

2nd Toni Gillman handling a lhasa apso another good handler who lost out on first due to overstretching her dog on presentation, other than that could not be faulted.

3rd Lily Warren handling a Shar Pei, a good handler who coped well within the confides of the wet weather ring, presented her dog well at all times.

17-24 years

1st Terhi Korhonen handling an Australian silky terrier, an excellent handler whose only fault completing an incorrect pattern to lose out on best handler, Res Best YKC Handler.

2nd Leila Tarabad handling a cavalier king charles, another excellent handler who coped brilliantly with a 6 month old puppy but unfortunately couldn’t keep it in a straight line, made the choice for first very difficult.

3rd Rachel Jefferson handling a Staffordshire bull terrier, another excellent handler who completed neat patterns and presented the dog correctly not quiet as neat as 1 & 2 though.

Day 2 Hound & Gundog

YKC Handling 6-11 years

1st Clare Alderson handling a Sussex spaniel, an impressive handler who did good shadowing and completed neat patterns although corners needed to be a little tighter, presented the dog well at all times.

2nd William Croxford handling a Norwegian elkhound, another good handler who completed neat patterns and presented his dog correctly however shadowing needs work.

3rd Charlotte Oldfield handling a Labrador, presented her dog very well but patterns could have been neater

12-16 years

1st Fiona Mycroft handling a whippet, an impressive handler who could not be faulted on the day, spoke encouragingly to her young dog at all times, Best YKC Handler.

2nd Sarah Gibbons handling a flat coated retriever, another excellent handler who coped extremely well with a very excitable youngster.

3rd Chloe Glennerster handling a cocker spaniel another good handler whose patterns were neat with good shadowing and presented her dog well at all times.

17-24 years

1st Lauren Carr Handling a bracco Italiano, another handler who could not be faulted, Res best YKC Handler

2nd Helen Taylor handling a German Shorthaired Pointer, made the choice for 1st very difficult another excellent handler who could swap places any day.

3rd Linzie Richardson handling an Irish setter, another excellent handler who gave the first 2 a run for their money.

Day 3 Working & Pastoral

YKC Handling 6-11 years

1st Jayne Perks handling an Australian Shepard, an excellent handler who completed neat patterns and presented her dog well at all times, very polite Res best YKC handler.

2nd Laura Pedelli handling a Belgium Sheppard, another excellent handler who could swap places with 1 any time, lost out on final pattern.

3rd Jake Hathaway handling a Pyrenean mountain dog, managed to complete patterns very neatly and coped well with such a large dog, shadowing needs a little work.

12-16 years

1st Hollie Kavanagh handling a Doberman, a faultless performance, even managed to complete the best figure 8 I’ve seen in a long time, Best YKC Handler.

2nd James Rogerson handling a Siberian husky, a good handler who completed very neat patterns but concentrated more on patterns than on his dog which was not corrected when moving incorrectly.

3rd Lorna Dandy handling a briard, an excellent handler who coped extremely well with a stubborn dog, lost out on 2nd on final pattern.

17-24 years

1st Emma Fieldsend handling a briard, an excellent handler very encouraging of her veteran dog, who completed all patterns neatly and presented her dog well.

2nd Charlotte Parsons handling a Doberman, another excellent handler who lost out to 1 on T pattern but was otherwise very neat and presented her dog very well.
