HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?
My mum got me into it because we've always had dogs as a family and it was just kinda natural to go to shows and get involved and I just never stopped.
DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?
I try but I wouldn't neccessarily say I’m any good. I do a bit of Heel Work To Music with my GWP and a spot of agility and Obedience with my GSD just for fun though.
HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?
I've got a german Shepherd, a GWP, A briard and two bearded collies. My mum also has four Bearded Collies living with her that I show.
WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?
I have used all of them for junior handling because it is good to get the experience, but I have the best connection with the beardies and they do look very elegant in the ring.
WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?
Too many to remember because I’m always up for a challenge
TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?
Well with a bearded collie the best thing is not to get stressed out because they are very sensitive about that, also to make sure they are looking in peak condition and try to keep their four feet on the ground.
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?
I’m always in my suit for competitions, I have a jacket in every colour now from my collecting over the years.=D
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?
I am normally placed highly in JH classes and I have know started to judge so watch out! =D I also won Junior handler of the Year 2007 at Crufts and I also won Best Overseas Handler at Jersey 2006 so that was great.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?
Probably winning Junior Handler of the Year because I was REALLY shocked.=o And Judging my first champ show two years ago at Welsh Kennel Club.

Know your breed and your dog and to have fun!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT JUNIOR HANDLING?
The friends you make because you all have the same interests and you can look forward to seeing them at shows so the early mornings aren't so bad.
WHAT DISAPPOINTS YOU IN THE WORLD OF JUNIOR HANDLING?
Judges who do not know what junior handling is about and just pick the cutest dog/child they see and don't know how much hard work goes into training.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO BRING UP?
Remember at the end of the day we are taking our show dogs home as pets, win or lose we love them.
