I live with three border terriers and one lurcher, we only show two of the border terriers and I show whippets, Mimi and Maverick.
WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?
I use the two whippets for junior handling and sometimes the border terriers but I show the whippets because they are easy to handle and not too big but not too small.

A whippet, border terrier, poodle lakeland terrier, English Toy Terrier, Lowchen, parson russels and many more.
TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?
To stand a whippet you will place them onto the table and then stand them with their head facing straight ahead. For a border terrier you stand them in like a square with there tail up at a 70-80 degree angle.
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?
I normally wear a horse jacket, a pair of black trousers and a pair of smart black shoes and my hair in a bun.
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?
My best achievements are qualifying for Richmond and getting reserve best junior handler twice in two days.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?
Just being able to get this far with my handling and being able to show what I have learnt and am still learning.
IF YOU ONLY HAD ONE 'TOP TIP' TO SHARE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Be confident in the ring, listen to the judge and enjoy yourself.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT JUNIOR HANDLING?
Being able to get closer to dogs and meeting new people.
WHAT DISAPPOINTS YOU IN THE WORLD OF JUNIOR HANDLING?
When not everyone can get placed and especially in the 6-11 class when a six year old can go into the ring and start crying because they have not got placed.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO BRING UP?
Yes, just enjoy yourself, and always have fun and to always smile in the ring and get a friendship with the dog that you are handling.
