PAPILLON (BUTTERFLY DOG) CLUB OPEN SHOW

I would like to thank the committee of the Papillon Club and especially Irene Robb for inviting me to judge this event. It promoted the junior handling and made the young handlers feel important and appreciated, which they are as they are the future of the breed.

6-11 years (9, 2a)

1. Ashlie Pike. Talented handler with lots of potential. She carried out all that was asked of her with minimum fuss and watched me at all times but still made sure her dog was shown to full advantage.

2. Rebecca Thompson. Quieter handler than 1, not that this is a criticism as the best handlers are the ones that are 'invisible'. Needs more confidence but shows a lot of potential.

3. Georgia Foote

12-16 years (10,1a)

1. Clare Butler. This handler did not put a foot wrong. She paid attention to me and did exactly as I asked. Showed her dog to perfection.

2. Francesca McWade. Another excellent handler whose patterns were perfect. Did not check her dog on the table and so it was standing incorrectly and this lost her the first place but that was my only criticism. Well done.
