HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?

At Paws in the Park where I was chucked in to the handling class without any training and came out with a second,since then I’ve never looked back.

DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?

Yes we take part in obedience with my 2 x-breeds as well as heelwork to music and showing.

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?

3:one american cocker spaniel and two lhasa x bichon frise.

WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?

The yank because the KC does not permit x-breed dogs to be used in JH at open or champ shows.

WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?

American cockers, samoyeds, flat-coated retrievers and standard poodles.

TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?

I stack my dog very square as she has good angulation which I show off to the best advantage and hold the tail at a 50 degree angle so the tailset swoops off of her back and I move her at a steady pace so she looks co-ordinated but still driving round like an F1 car!!

WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?

Depends which dog I have:1.a dark dog I wear a beige suit with a pink shirt and tie 2. If it’s a lighter dog I will wear a dark chocolate suit with either tan or red polo neck tops.

WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?

Winning at Bournemouth YKC handling at my first show with my american cocker and my 1st champ show handling class,to top off the day I got BP and PG4

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?

Crufts obviously!!

IF YOU ONLY HAD ONE 'TOP TIP' TO SHARE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Never look phased if you act confident,you will feel confident.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT JUNIOR HANDLING?

Winning,haha,no, the concentration preparation and excitment before you enter the ring, and the girls!!!

WHAT DISAPPOINTS YOU IN THE WORLD OF JUNIOR HANDLING?

The fact that the KC has restricted it to only pedigrees apart from if you qualify for the YKC class at Crufts.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO BRING UP?
