I am now available to teach junior and adult handling privately to exhibitors - from beginners, who need to go through the basics - or to brush up the skills of the more advanced.
The training is on a one-to-one basis and I will go through all areas of handling needed. I’m available to train in my home town of Bournemouth, mostly at weekends. However I may be able to travel short distances, depending on circumstances.
ACHIEVEMENTS
In 1998, I won the Scottish, British and World Title in junior handling.
As a result of my wins, I wrote and published a book called 'Junior Handling The White Way' which is still the most current book on junior handling available.
I also created and currently update the UK's only website on junior handling called www.juniorhandling.co.uk
TRAINING EXPERIENCE
I jointly run and train youngsters at two junior handling training weekends a year in which we attract up to 40 handlers per time.
I regularly train junior and adult handlers at Poole Canine Club.
JUDGING
I judge Beagles, Border collies at open level and junior and adult handling handling to championship level.
MEDIA
I write monthly junior columns in Our Dogs, I have also written junior articles for Dogs Monthly, beagle and border collie annual magazines and websites.
I work at Dorset Police as a press officer.
