Judge - Alex Hurley
The main areas of improvement in the handling competition are in the use of the ‘Golden Rule’, accurate alignments according to the Judge’s line of vision [feet position], care when showing 3 sides of the bite so as not to block the nose, presentation distance and lead control.
Under 12 years
1. Jane Perks. Well done, a good ‘up and coming’ Handler of the future. Listened to instructions carefully. Check ‘teeth/bite’ no fingers inside the mouth and alignments. Final Presentation.
2. Rebecca Philips, excellent handling with a difficult dog. Remember the Golden Rule and check hand positioning when showing bite/teeth, presentation distance and alignment.
12-17 years
1. Charlotte Nickel. Well demonstrated handling skills to achieve good scores in all areas. Check lead control and remember opposite reaction from the dog.
2. Nicola Williams. Excellent handling skills, check 3 sides of the bite/teeth, ringside line-ups and the best alignments.
3. Hannah Escott. Good handling skills, check the presentation distance and alignments.
