HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?
Me and my mum went to a companion show and I entered and I came first it all started from there.
DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?
I have started grooming this year and have qualified for Crufts 2008. I also compete in the breed classes with my Papillons and Chihuahua.
HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?
I live with 8 dogs, 5 papillons-Spencer 4yrs, Dolly3 1/2yrs, China 12 months, Phoebe 2 ½ yrs and Daizy3yrs, 1 chihuahua-Sugarpuff 9 months, 1 border collie –Tommy 9 yrs and 1 shih tzu- Rosie 11 yrs.
WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?
When I first started handling I used my 4-year-old Papillon Spencer because he was the calmest one but now I use my 2½-year-old Papillon phoebe as I can also use her in the breed classes as well.
WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?
I have handled Papillons, Chihuahua and Chinese crested
TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?
The Papillon is a free-stood dog so the only time I stack them is on the table. I have to walk my dog into the stand and keep her attention on me. I show her on a loose lead with a quick walk. The Chihuahua is also a freestanding dog the only time I will stack her is on the table, they also have a loose lead with a quick walk I also walk her into her stand.
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?
I usually wear a grey suit that complements the dog with smart black shoes
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?
My best achievements are qualifying for crufts 08 in my 3rd show and also qualifying for crufts 2008 in the grooming competition. Also my Chihuahuas 1st show she came 1st in her class. BIS with my Papillon Phoebe, best puppy in show, many JH 1st and various placings at companion, open and championship shows with all my dogs.
in 2008, at UK Toy Dog Ch show, I came 1st in JHA and 2nd in YKC 12-16 handling with my Papillon Phoebe. A couple of months ago we got a new Chinese crested puppy ‘Pazzaz Tamarind Showstoper’ (Lacie is her pet name) UK Toy was her first show at 6mths and one day and she came 5th in her class of about 13, she is being placed at all of her shows and I am very proud of her.
At southeastern toy dog society May 24th she got BPIB and then onto BOB at the age of just 8 mths, I also won the YKC 17-24 age group this was my first time in this age group. On May 10th at The National Dog Show she was placed 3rd in MPB qualifying her for Crufts 09. On May 28th we went to Boston and District dog show, I won the YKC Members stakes with her out of 20 dogs! And also my second time in the 17-24 age group I came 1st also qualifying me for the National Show Handler at Crufts 2009! I am so proud of her as she is still only 8mths.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?
My most memorable occasion would have to be qualifying for crufts 2008 twice in 4 wks for handling and grooming!

Never give up, practice makes perfect.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT JUNIOR HANDLING?
Meeting all different people and so many different breeds of dogs.
WHAT DISAPPOINTS YOU IN THE WORLD OF JUNIOR HANDLING?
When the judge knows people in the class with you and they get placed.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO BRING UP?
