Judge: Georgina Ferguson

Junior and Adult Handling.

It was my first judging appointment and I would like to thank those who entered under me. The lovely entry was much appreciated.

6-11years

1st Page Allen handling an Australian Shepard dog. This handler caught my eye as she entered the ring and I was not disappointed. Page did all of her patterns correctly and her lines were excellent. The teeth were shown sympathetically and she shone in her class. Lost out on BJH because she didn't start her second pattern from my original place which was what I wanted but very well done anyway.

2nd Katie Kelly showing a Golden Retriever. Also an extremely good handler. I just felt that she wasn't as polished as 1 but her patterns were executed well and the teeth shown correctly.

3rd Lucy Hankey showing a Beagle.

12-16 years

Some very good handlers in this class that could easily change places on another day.

1st & BJH Lilly Warren handling a Shar Pei. Lilly is an extremely good handler and I was very impressed with her today. She showed the teeth well on a difficult breed and her lines were very straight and under control. She entered the ring beautifully with excellent patterns and deserved her 1st place.

2nd Rebecca Rowe showing a standard wirehaired Dachshund. Rebecca did a beautiful entrance today catching my eye. Table work was executed properly with sympathetic showing of the teeth. The only thing that I could criticise her on was changing hands at the end of her up and down which resulted in fiddling when presenting her dog.

3rd Chelsea Nash handling a Border Terrier.

17-29 years

1st Gemma Price with a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Stood alone in this class, but deserved her place. Excellent straight lines with a good repore with her dog. It was a shame her other competitors were absent.

30-59 years

1st Emma Bugler handling an American Cocker. Emma caught my eye as she entered the ring, flowing beautifully with her dog. Her patterns were done correctly and superb table work. BAH

2nd Felicity Hankey handling a Beagle. Lovely lines with a good repore with her dog. Close to 1 but Emma's table work was neater. Well done.

3rd Kerrie Kelly showing a Golden Retriever.

60+ years

1st Mary Small showing a Border Terrier. Very good lines and correct showing of the teeth. Dog and the handler were as one and she stood out in this class.

2nd Alan Small handling a Border Terrier. Also a very good handler. Lost out to 1 because of a low hand position. Didn't have the same repore with his dog as 1 but lines were very straight.

3rd B Highfield showing a PRT.

Webmaster: thanks to Georgie for sending this critique in on the day of judging!
