INTERNATIONAL TEAM MATCH June 2006 - Report by Sheila Baldwin
Medal Awards Day
The U.K Handlers Association runs a Medal Award Scheme, the awards range from Bronze up to Member Teacher & Examiners awards and the handlers are assessed individually against a standard rather than in a competition situation. The examiner this year was Jaxson Manser, ably assisted by Hannah Boutell, who spent a busy three days putting twenty-seven handlers through one or more assessments and on Sunday afternoon the following awards were presented:-
Bronze – India Jones, Lily Warren, Amy Balch, Jake Lindford, Fran McWade, Daniel Rogerson, Hannah Hadfield, Jayne Perks, Jacqui Ward, Sandra Martin, Rachel Fludder, Katie Kelly, Kerrie Kelly, Katie Stewart, Stephanie Hicks.
Silver - Rachel Fludder, Lily Warren, Amy Balch, India Jones, Katie Stewart, Jake Lindford, Jayne Perks, Daniel Rogerson, Jacqui Ward, Sandra Martin, Katie Kelly, Kerrie Kelly, Stephanie Hicks. Gold - Rachel Fludder, Daniel Rogerson, Amy Balch, Lily Warren, Page Allen, India Jones, Hollie Kavanagh, , Jacqui Ward, Sandra Martin, Stephanie Hicks, Jayne Perks, Michelle Alders.

The Winning Teams and the first three individual winners in each section entered the Southern Counties Championship Show Best in Show Ring after the judging of Finals for Stakes Classes for the announcement of and the presentation to the over-all winners. Angela and David Cavill kindly gave time from their very busy schedule to present the Trophies and the announcements were made by Jacqui Hurley.

Two of the younger competitors presented Angela and David Cavill with thank you gifts and a photo call was taken in an empty ring beside the BIS ring.
