Foundation in Canine Healthcare
- Two Day Accredited Study Programme
Top breeders, behaviourists, trainers and show people – people
who are crazy about dogs and want the best for their
friends – tend to disagree with the official veterinary
line when it comes to canine healthcare. Their experiences,
over maybe as many as twenty or forty years, have led
them to believe that what you feed a dog, and how you
deal with preventative healthcare, determines whether
or not you’ll have a healthy, long-lived dog, or whether
your dog will suffer and die years before his time.
These experienced people don’t spend thousands of pounds
at the vet’s trying to help a sickly dog. Instead, they
give their dogs the food they need (and it doesn’t come
from a can or a packet!), and they don’t give unnecessary
and harmful medications in an attempt to fix basic errors
of care*.
You can acquire years’ of experience in one weekend.
We will share simple truths that will keep your dogs
healthy:
- We’ll give you simple-to-follow feeding guidelines
that will put a new lease of life into your dog, and
potentially save you a fortune in vet bills.
- We’ll give you the science on vaccine-induced diseases
, in easy-to-understand terms. We’ll save you hundreds
of pounds that you don’t need to spend. We’ll also save
your dog from unnecessary suffering.
- We’ll introduce you to the world of complementary
healthcare: natural products and safe techniques that
don’t come with conventional drugs’ harmful side-effects,
but which work.
- We’ll explain what makes a dog ill, and what makes
a dog healthy – putting the power in your hands so you
don’t have to suffer the grief of premature loss.
- You will gain knowledge from which to make informed
choices on behalf of your dogs.

Foundation in Canine Healthcare
The Foundation in Canine Healthcare programme has been designed
to make it accessible to all – which means that you
can choose to attend for one day or two days, and –
if you wish – to complete a home study programme and
obtain certification in canine healthcare.
The Foundation in Canine Healthcare options consist
of:
Saturday lecture – 10am to
5pm – a comprehensive lecture covering the important
foundations of canine health: diet and the vaccination
issue. This lecture is open to all, and is particularly
suitable to people who have sick dogs and who want to
know how to help them, and to people who have healthy
dogs and want to keep them that way. Your only requirement
for attendance is that you love your dogs, and want
the best for them.
Sunday lecture – 10am to 5pm
– this lecture covers important factors which can determine
the health of your dog, including genetics, environmental
toxins, conventional drug therapy, stress, and complementary
healthcare options. During this workshop, we will also
show you how to ascertain the very best diets and treatments
for dogs on an individual basis, and we’ll introduce
several complementary therapies for you to use at home.
Home study – covering all of
the lecture units above, with two or three questions
on each unit to complete at home. This option is for
serious dog fanatics who have attended both one-day
lectures. It’s designed for those who wish to become
truly knowledgeable about canine husbandry and be advocates
for the dogs. The home study programme empowers you
to have the facts at your disposal so you can remember
them and speak up for yourselves and the dogs.
On completion of your home study course, we will issue
the Foundation in Canine Healthcare certificate. As
a listed course provider for the Kennel Club, only the
full Foundation qualifies under their KCAI Scheme. However,
if you attend only one or both days now, you can still
come back at a later date to complete the full course.
* Vets and veterinary nurses are welcome to attend,
promoting open dialogue.

Near your Home
If you have contact (or can make contact) with groups of doggie
people (why not get all your doggie friends or local
dog training clubs together?) and can get a group of

and your place will be free (maximum two places free
for those putting groups together). We will do all the
