About Me
My name is Karl Davis, I am 38 and married to Dot. We live in Wallasey, Merseyside and although I was originally born in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear I consider Merseyside to be my home. I have lived here for twenty years and I have been married to Dot for ten years. In January
2001 I bought my own domain and my site was born. I average about a 1,000
visitors a day. At the time I began my site, I was asked why I wanted to compete with all the other PC Device driver sites out there, and the simple answer is that I enjoy tinkering away with PC`s and device drivers are a big part of any computer system. So many different driver sites I visited had no real personal support at all and I wanted to change all that. From my Email box I get requests all the time from all over the world and I prefer that kind of email to spam/junk email any day. See my guestbook to see what I mean as there are some strange and weird countries listed in there. In particular,
getting hardware to work at its best, and running diagnostics etc to keep
PC`s running at there optimum is a hobby that I really enjoy. So providing a site that would link to most manufacturers and provide useful PC help pages, in the form of an FAQ Section has helped me to build a resource that will be useful for me and others too. I added downloads that would help and assist in trouble-shooting hardware problems like faulty hard drives and a few more goodies. With help
from other Lineone members and a fair amount of personal time, I have
struck a happy balance between PC problem solving and Web designing, which
I enjoy immensely. I would
like to pay my respects to all those that have assisted in one way or
another with my site especially G`Dad and Kat Buckland and I hope that
the readers will find it a useful site to bookmark and visit me again
