Eric Liddell Centre Stained Glass Windows

Dorcas a woman of good works, a stained glass window at ELC

Although Iandscapes are my first love I enjoy taking photographs of anything, especially when it is something of beauty!  I was therefore happy a few years ago to accept the challenge of capturing the wonderful variety of stained glass windows in the former North Morningside church at Holy Corner, Edinburgh .

This building has now been skilfully converted internally to be able to serve a wide range of community functions.  The new floor levels that have been added make close viewing of the windows easier than ever before.  If you are in Edinburgh I would recommend a visit to the building itself because it is impossible to reproduce on screen the sheer vibrancy of the stained glass. But as an alternative I provide below a link to the Windows pages on the Centre's own website where you can learn a lot more about the many windows. Over the last year or so the windows have been beautifully restored and so the colours are now even more vibrant.

At the south end you can visit the pleasant little Cafe Gold, open from Monday to Saturday from 9am until 4.30pm for morning coffee, lunches and light refreshments.
