Since my last Email we have completed two more Winter League rounds.  We must be mad because the 3^rd Round of the Electric League was held in gloomy conditions with steadily increasing drizzle.  The 3^rd Round of the Thermal League on 22^nd Jan provided better weather but no wind.  Launches were, consequently, not very high and times relatively low.  Eventually however Keith Miller found some lift during the last flight and several of the competitors who followed him managed to finish the day by completing a full 10 minute slot.

 

For the record, the 3^rd round Electric ‘400’ class was won by David Taylor with Keith Fisher in 2^nd place.  The 3^rd Round Electric ‘Open’ Class was won by me with Keith Fisher in 2^nd place

 

The 3^rd Round Thermal league was won by Rob Love with Alan Twine in 2^nd place

 

One or two members have commented that they hadn’t seen the competition results on the website.  Results are almost always posted on the web within two or three days of the event.  So, at the risk of teaching Grandma to suck eggs, here is a reminder of how to find the result tables:

 

First access the club website at the address shown above,

Then click on ‘Competitions’ in the left hand menu bar

Then put your cursor over the competition result you are interested in e.g. ‘Electric League’ ‘Results Table’ (these are highlighted in blue on my computer)

Click to reveal the relevant table or Round result.

 

If anyone cannot find the appropriate result please call me on 01892 534532 or reply to this email.

 

REMINDERS!

 

1.                  Round 4 of Winter Electric League is on Sunday 5^th Feb at 10 a.m.

2.                  Round 4 of Winter Thermal League is on Sunday 19^th Feb, 10am

3.                  If anyone has still to renew membership please do so a.s.a.p.  (Apart from anything else, you will need the insurance to fly)
