Hello fellow flyers,
This is just a brief memo to update you, as promised, on the use of Leigh
Park farm by the Scout Jamboree.
There is good news and bad news I’m
afraid.
The good news is that we can fly at Leigh Park Farm this coming weekend
(19/20 May) as the scouts will not be there.
The bad news is that, due to a misunderstanding between the farmer, the
scouts and TRF, the scouts will be using the
fields throughout the following weekend (26-28 May). Keith Miller has secured, from the
farmer, the promise that we can use another field which is remote from the
scout’s activities. At the time of
writing he cannot confirm which field that will be, so I will have to update you
again when that information is known.
The current situation can be summarised as
follows:
1
Normal club flying at Leigh Park farm on weekend of
19th/20th May
2
No flying in our normal fields at Leigh on Bank holiday weekend
26th,27th & 28th May but I will advise of
the alternative location as soon as I know the
details.
I apologise for the changing plans over the next two
weekends.
Best wishes,
Alastair Ramsay - Secretary, Silent Flight Section -
TRF
