Honorary Memberships
Aberdeenshire County were delighted to award honorary membership to Mrs Joan Rennie and Mrs Ethel Farquharson (pictured below). Joan is a former Scottish Champion, Curtis Cup player, Scottish Internationalist, County Champion, County team player, County Captain and was County President for the past two years. Ethel has been Junior Secretary for the past 20 years and the County are indebted to her for all her hard work with the County Girls. (

Congratulations to Ros Dunsmuir (Cruden Bay) and Laura McLardy (Murcar Links) who were runners up in the Commonwealth Spoons final at Longniddry.  
Anne Ryan and Mary Smith (Northern Counties) won the competition by one stroke.

Laura Murray was part of the Scotland team that won the international team event at the Irish women's open amateur stroke-play championship at Douglas Golf Club, Cork.
Jane Turner (Craigielaw), Carly Booth (Comrie) and Laura Murray (Alford) scored a come-from-behind victory over the final round. Well done to you all.

ALCGA Centenary
Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association will be celebrating our centenary in 2011. 

A committee has now been set up to organise events to mark this occasion.  If anyone has any suggestions/fund raising ideas etc, please feel free to contact any committee member.
