• PO Stephenson and PO Jones attended a GMDSS course at SABS on 20th-21st and both achieved their certificate of competence to operate radios.

       The awards was a very successful evening. Deputy Mayor Merrin Molesworth [link to her blog] presented the awards, with the help of the CO, and members of the local Royal Naval Association (RNA), Royal British Legion (RBL) and council attending. A finger buffet was prepared by the PSA. Very well done to everyone who gained an award and thank you to all who attended.

February 2007

• PO Jones attended a Powerboat Intermediate course at Weymouth SCTC from 11th-16th and passed well.
• AC Jones attended a Level 2 Powerboat course at SCTC Weymouth from 18th-23rd and achieved both Planing and Displacement.
• From 23rd-25th 3 cadets and 2 staff attended the first of the two Southern Area Cadet Multi-Training Weekends at Browndown camp.

March 2007

• AC Jones, OC J Ryan and OC S Ryan all completed the second weekend of their district Meteorology course and all passed.
• Jnr Jones was enrolled to a cadet on Thursday 15th. Very well done.
• 23rd-25th March was the second of the two Southern Area Weekends. AC Jones passed her 1st Class Writer Stores, OC S Ryan achieved his Basic Air Rifle and Cdt Gates recieved his Heartstart qualification.

May 2007

• AC Jones, Cdt Brown, Cdt Layer S, Cdt Delderfield and OC Ryan J all attended a canoeing course at Milton Keynes unit on 4th-6th May. AC Jones and Cdt Bornw completed the first of their two BCU 2* weekends, and the remaining cadets all gained their BCU 1* qualification.
• AC Jones and Cdt Jones represented the unit at MCC Northwood's annual International Evening and helped on the UK table.
• On 26th and 27th May, many of the cadets and PSA members attended the Hertfordshire County Show and were litter-picking for the organisers, for which the unit is to receive a donation for their help. I know there wasn't ideal conditions, but thank you to everyone for their considerable efforts!

June 2007

• On 2nd June, a Taster Day was organised by Chesham Council at Chesham Park school. AC Jones, Cdt Jones and PO Jones all attended to try and raise awareness of the Sea Cadets.
