| DIRECTIONS: | This newly created Forestry Commission site can be accessed by car
ONLY from the eastbound carriageway of the A127. From M25 Junction 29: Take the A127 west towards Romford and London. Exit at the first interchange for Hall Lane, signed to Upminster. Turn right at the top of the slip road and cross over the A127 and keep left to rejoin the A127eastbound. Take the second turning on the left into Folkes Lane; (the first turning is Tomkyns Lane, Folkes Lane is in another ¼ mile immediately after the garden centre). Take care as it is not well signed and does not have a slip road. The car park is another ¼ mile from the A127, on the left where the lane has a sharp right-hand bend. From the west: Take the A127 to the Hall Lane interchange for Upminster. Continue east along the A127. Take the second turning on the left into Folkes Lane; (the first turning is Tomkyns Lane, Folkes Lane is in another ¼ mile immediately after the garden centre). Take care as it is not well signed and does not have a slip road. The car park is another ¼ mile from the A127, on the left where the lane has a sharp right-hand bend. |

| COURSES: | The coaching will enable you to verify your pace counting; there will
be some exercises as well. Janet will also cover some warm-up/stretching
exercises. There will be a Sprint-O course with a twist to enable you to
sharpen up your use of bearings. You are welcome to participate in all
or any parts of the coaching session as you wish or you can tackle the
Sprint-O or have a go at everything. Self-registration and self-timing
will be used. Note, although the woodland is small it is contoured and so is a good training area. Beginners are welcome to this informal event. So, please bring your family and friends, Janet will be available to help beginners after the coaching session. |
