This two-day course will cover the BOF grade-3 planner’s syllabus and is aimed at anyone who wishes to plan local orienteering events. There will be optional sessions on the functions of the OCAD and Condes course setting computer software. This course is aimed at people new to orienteering planning or those with limited experience who have not attended a formal course.

| Venue: | Belhus Woods Country Park, near Aveley. Approximately 5 miles from M25 J29 or J30. |
| Times: | 10am to 3.30pm both days. |
| Costs: | Course fees £30 including course materials. A £2 Essex County Council car park charge will apply. British Orienteering members should contact their own clubs about funding for attending this course. |
| Eligibility: | The course is open to everyone but priority will be given to members of EAOA and SEOA clubs. |
| Prerequisites: | Some knowledge of orienteering and an understanding of the colour coded system used for courses. Experience of competing at events on courses at Light Green standard or above is sufficient for acquiring this knowledge. Reasonable computer skills will be needed for those attending one of the course setting software sessions. |
