HAVOC is a small and friendly club which welcomes new members of any age and ability. Most of our members live within the London borough of Havering and the area of South Essex (i.e. Romford, Brentwood, Billericay, Chelmsford and Southend).
The club holds regular local events on specially drawn 5-colour maps . Experienced members attend events organised by other clubs all over the British Isles and abroad.
From time to time there are special Try Orienteering events which are designed for beginners. However, if you cannot get to one of these events, you may come to an event before you join the Club.
The annual subscription for Club membership 2006 is Seniors & Families £10 Juniors £1.50
No pre-entry is required for colour coded and informal events. Unless otherwise stated, colour-coded and local events have Registration from 1000 to 1200 and starts from 1030 to 1230. Courses normally close at 1500. The cost is normally between £3-£4 for adults and £1-£1.50 for juniors. Dogs are often welcome at events providing they are kept under control, but if the event details do not specify please check with the organiser before taking a dog.
