About Us

I have owned Birmans for about 8 years and obtained my first Asian nearly 5 years ago.
My GCCF prefix came about because our family name is Kelf, and as the whole family are involved with my hobby, I felt that it was only fair to say that we are Kelf and Company; this was shortened to KELFANCO - perhaps not very original, but I think it is apt!

At the moment, I have 5 adult cats and one kitten.
Outside, in his own house & run, is my first stud boy. He is a Black Asian Smoke called Ashputtel Lester, but we know him as Joey. He has good type, with a super smoke coat & the soppiest temperament imaginable. Thank you so much to Mark & Avril Perkins for letting me have this wonderful lad.

Chokky is my first Birman queen, bought from Julie Rhodes. She is called Chadanell Chokky Box, as she was born on Boxing Day. Not surprisingly, she is a Chocolate Point Birman! She has now had four litters of kittens. In her most recent litter, she had a very pretty Seal Tortie Point kitten which I have kept; her name is Grace.

Kelfanco Bathsheba (Sheba) is a Blue Silver Ticked Tabby girl who is full of character. She has had two litters of kittens.
Two recent additions are Kelfanco Finnian (Finn), a gorgeous Black Silver Shaded Tiffanie boy and his litter sister Kelfanco Faith (Fifi), a very sweet Blue Silver Shaded Tiff girl - they have wonderful temperaments and I couldn’t bear to part with them! Fifi is now expecting her first litter, due early August 2006.

All my queens live in our home. Their kittens are raised indoors, with lots of handling, fuss and attention, which makes them ‘bombproof’! They are registered with the GCCF, and leave home at 13 weeks having been vaccinated, wormed and with 6 weeks free insurance and a bag of ‘goodies’.
