These are two of the group of four munros that make up the Tyndrum group which are clearly prominent when you drive past Tyndrum and head to Oban.
I was accompanied on this day by Jim who is a friend who also lives in Ayr.
Starting off from the A82, the path crosses the railway bridge and passes through woodland until you start the climb up to Ben Lui. It amazes me sometimes that when you are walking in the hills, you can go for ages without seeing anyone else, and then, all of a sudden there are people wlaking towards you from every direction.
Unfortunately, like a lot of days in the hills, the mist headed in and the views wee spoiled by this. Never-the-less, we continued on to reach the tops of both peaks before heading back down. On the way down we passed a big bus trip of people on their way up.
