This is a munro We have had two attempts to climb. We first tried this back in 2002, however, as it was quite late on in the year, once we reached the start, the light was begining to fade. We went up he first ridge but then decided to turn back due to the conditions.
This time we started off early enough to give us enough time to reach the summit.
We invited Alexander who is Allans second cousin to join us. He is German and wanted to climb a munro before heading back to Germany.
There is a long road that you walk along to reach the start of the climb and it can be advisable to bring a bike which can then be tied to a gate near the start of the actual climb. Once you are on the climb, there is a really nice route that takes you up a gully alongside a stream, this continues until you reach the first ridge, on this it gives a good view up to the corrie ridge of the top
It gave me a good sense of achievent reaching the top due to the fact we had failed at the first attemp to climb this munro.
