Ben Lomond is the most Southern Munro in Scotland and is situated by the banks of the North East side of Loch Lomond.
Due to its location it is a very popular munro for first time climbers.
This is one of my favorite munros as I find it a good challenge to climb as it is not too hard (or too easy!!) and the views looking out to Loch Lomond and the neighbouring Arrochar Alps are amazing on a good day.
This is the picture taken of Ben Lomond from the west bank of Loch Lomond. The sight of Ben Lomond on your journey north always encourages me to climb more munros.
