Caravan

For a few years, we owned a VW Camper, in which we had many holidays and went to a lot of places we could not have otherwise afforded to visit. With the children growing, the Camper got too small, so we sold it in 2001.

The children often remarked how much they missed the Camper, so in the summer of 2005 we bought an Avondale 4 berth caravan so we could again have holidays at half terms, etc. as well as in the summer.

We now holiday in far greater comfort than we were used to with the Camper - as well as a large living area, the caravan has hot and cold water, heating, a toilet, shower and 4 full sized beds (there's a nightly 'debate' as to whether Lewis or Katy sleeps on the top bunk !!). There's also lots more floor space so we can all spread out a bit and chill.

Areas we have visited with the caravan include Shrewsbury, Snowdonia, Tewkesbury and York.

Both children are really pleased that we have the caravan - as well as getting to explore some really nice places and having more holidays, they both muck in with the chores.
