Football

We follow the fortunes of Hednesford Town, who play in the Unibond League. We get to as many home games as we can, along with a few away matches. Some of our neighbours and friends also go along, so we form quite a group on the terraces on Saturday afternoons !!

Lewis is a member of the 'Junior Pitmen' club for young Hednesford fans and has a junior season ticket. He loves Saturday afternoons at football - probably because he can shout as much as he wants for 90 minutes !!

Katy also follows the Pitmen and attends all the matches that we go to - we are not sure if the attraction is so she can watch men in shorts run round all afternoon or the half-time Bovril and biscuits which have become a tradition in our Football Group !!

As well as going to home games, we have been to a few away matches, including see Hednesford lift the FA Trophy at Villa Park in 2004 and gain promotion to the Conference North in a dramatic playoff final against Chippenham in 2005.
