Just to start off with, another picture of 3650 passing through Bristol Temple Meads station with a local stopping freight. The date is unknown but would be when 3650 was shedded at Bristol St Phillips Marsh between 1958 and 1961, see table below. (GWS Trust collection)


3650 was built at Swindon and outshopped in December 1939, as part of lot No 325. (3635-3684) at a cost of £2,844 and was finished in plain green livery with tank side GWR roundles. Shed allocations were as follows;-

As far as we can establish, 3650 had an un-distinguished career doing what pannier tanks were designed to do. Apart from washouts, minor and running repairs 3650's recorded visits for maintenance are as follows;-

So far three photographs have come to light while in B.R. service, two from 3650's time at Bristol St Phillips Marsh and one from Neath. Also a further three photo's from 3650's time at Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen. Copies of any others would be gratefully received and full costs re-inbursed.
