November 7th: Bolton Woods 3 v 1 Wilsden  Scorer: Arron Brown

Sponsors

We were the better team for much of the first half, but did not score and let two goals in. The first was 4 or 5 yards offside but the referee did not blow his whistle and the second goal was a defensive mistake.

Squad Pages

In the second half we were even more prominent as the attacking side and our ever willing Arron Brown scored our goal to get us back into the match. We did concede a third goal with 15 minutes left to play, which was a bit of blow, as we were very much playing as though we would soon draw level.

League Links

The team showed a great deal of spirit against a very big and physical side, who also had a few good players and were obviously very much a unit that had player together for some time, unlike our team, which is new this season.
Fundraising Committee Paul Brooksbank (joint manager and coach) and my self thoroughly enjoyed the match and I believe the players did too.
Paul Brooksbank (joint manager and coach) and my self thoroughly enjoyed the match and I believe the players did too.
Our man of the match was Paul Davidson, who caused havoc on the left hand side of the midfield with a range of excellent runs and crosses as well as some brilliant close range passing moves, which often resulted in our creating a scoring opportunity.
Our goalkeeper, Adam Sutton had an excellent game and pulled off three superb saves and Paul and I agree that he is probably the best goalkeeper we have seen in the league so far.
Andy Gray was given the difficult and unenviable task of man marking their giant centre forward, who at the age of 16 looked as big as Duncan Ferguson with facial hair to boot.
Well done lads you played very well and you are improving all the time and playing some great football. The spirit in the team and the way the players all supported each other was fantastic and a joy for the coaches to behold. Keep it up lads!
