~ KINGS FOLLY ~

The Kings Folly is our biggest dovecote and is, as we say, our flagcote.  It is a very handsome cote with its tiled roof. The style is not of any particular period of time or of any culture.  It is a mixture of designs.   Needless to say, because of it's sheer size it is not for the smaller garden.   Larger houses, parks or farms are perhaps a more suitable place for such a superb dovecote.

The Kings Folly is a 10 sided (decagon) cote with 4 levels and 5 holes in each level, housing 20 pairs of doves. It stands on a massive 8in x 8in pressure treated post and elevates to 17ft from the ground to the very tip of the finial and is 5ft 4in wide.

~THE GOTHIC~

The Gothic is a replica of a very old dovecote.
This is a very traditional style cote.
It has a four gabled roof which is tiled.
The post is very unusual in its style, with its four
curved struts, two smaller and two larger.
Very pretty.

The Gothic is rectangular in shape, measuring
3ft 8in x 2ft 8in and standing at
12ft high. The Gothic holds 16 pairs of doves.

~THE MARQUIS~

~ THE TUDOR ~

The Tudor dovecote is in the classic style, still  octagonal in body, still housing 12 pairs of doves, but distinct in that   it has an extra level. By placing this extra level on the roof rather than just extending the body, we believe this has made it a very handsome dovecote.  It is incidentally, the only dovecote in this style that we have seen.

The Tudor is 3ft 9in at it's widest point and stands at 11ft 7in tall on it's post.

~ THE ELIZABETHAN ~

This is an old style dovecote.  A few hundred years ago, dovecotes were made in the style of the house, rather like an extension.  Thus, we have reverted back to the influence of the Elizabethan period.   With its tiled roof and beamed body, we believe it to look authentic.  You do not need to live in an Elizabethan house to own or appreciate one.  They look equally as good accompanying any style of house.  The Elizabethan is a three storey octagonal dovecote and houses 12 pairs of doves.

It stands 11ft 10in tall from the ground to the finial and is 4ft 3in wide from roof tile to opposite tile.

~ THE CLASSIC ~

The Classic is our most popular dovecote.   It has been made to represent the very epitome of English dovecotes.  This classic style really does bring out the best in any garden.   It is a two level, octagonal dovecote and houses 8 pairs of doves which we have found in our experience, to be enough for the average garden.

The Classic is 3ft 9in at it's widest point and stands at 10ft 9in from the ground to the finial.

~THE STUART~

The Stuart is the same size and style as the classic. As you can see we have made a few changes, the roof is tiled as in the Elizabethan, also the moulded edging and the perches are stained so that they stand out from the white body.   All resulting in a very beautiful dovecote.

The Stuart is a two storey octagonal cote that houses 8 pairs of doves. It stands at 10ft 9ins tall and is 3ft 9ins  wide.

~ THE WINDSOR ~

The Windsor borrows its style from The Classic.  It is a single storey dovecote and holds only 4 pairs of doves.  We believe that the Windsor, being the smallest dovecote in our range, looks particularly good in the smaller or front garden.

The Windsor is 2ft 7in at it's widest part and stands at 9ft 6in on the post.

~ THE VICTORIAN ~

The Victorian dovecote is our most popular wall cote.  We believe we have captured the essence of the Victorian character in this cote.  With its gabled style, we trust we have done just that.  We have often been complimented on their appearance when fixed to the side of houses, garages or barns.

The Victorian comes in three different sizes:

( i ) A two pair, which is 3ft wide x 18in tall.

( ii ) A five pair which is 3ft 10in wide x 2ft 3in tall.

( iii ) A nine pair, which is 4ft 9in wide x 3ft tall.
