The club is a RYA Recognised Training Establishment. Training is available to all club members, junior or adult.
A short term membership scheme is also available to newcomers to sailing who wish to try out the sport before making a financial commitment.

The courses are normally scheduled on Saturdays between June and September and will take a complete beginner to the point where they can handle a dinghy in good conditions and take part in club activities. The club can award RYA certificates.
At other times of the year instruction is available on an individual basis by arrangement with the Training Officer Neil Hird telephone 0208 977 1716 or e-mail

Cadet Sailors (i.e. those between 7 and 15 years) are invited to a Junior Sailors’ Club run on alternate Sunday afternoons from May to September which combines training with fun events. Its principal aim is simply to get young people to enjoy sailing in the company of  people their own age!

As soon as a person feels confident in handling a boat, they are welcome to take part in the club’s year round sailing activities which are friendly, well run and varied.
