Castle Cornet is situated at the entrance to St. Peter Port, Guernsey's 'capital town', and is very old. The castle was the base for the great siege and as an outpost for the Germans in the Second World War. It was also used in many other battles.
This picture shows some realistic cannons based on the original design and the 'new' pier which connects the castle to the mainland and allows visiors to get to the castle.
