- Why CJS Racing, if John's name is John Charles Smith not Charles John Smith?
John felt that CJS sounded better as opposed to JCS when he began his racing career
- Why did John stop racing in 1991?
The racing was becoming very expensive - it's important that a lot of sponsers are gained to justify the costs of racing. Unfortuantly John could justify enough money to continue racing so had to give up in 1991.
- Would I have ever seen you on TV?
Possibly. During John's racing career he was on television numerous times, probably the most noticable was in a race with Murray Walker commentating, "And its Charles Smith, and he's spun off of the track!"
