Elvis Presley

Introduction

I have chosen Elvis Presley because I'm inspired by him and I really like his music.

HISTORY

In 1935 Gladys Presley nee Love, at the age of twenty one years of age, gave birth to a baby boy who she named Elvis Aaron. The date was 8th of January, Elvis was the Second born of twins but unfortunately the first born baby Jesse Garon died at birth.

They lived in Tupelo Mississippi .Vernon Gladys and baby Elvis were so poor that they lived in a small shack called a shot /gun house.

WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE

Woman was attracted to his good looks and charming smile. His hair was different from all class mates as he wore it in the style of a ducks tail and dressed very well in clothes that was again different from every one else.

HOW HE BECAME FAMOUS

His dad wanted him to be an election shop and soon got promoted as truck driver.It was soon his mother's birthday and he wanted to give her something special so he went to the recording studio and sang:

THAT'S ALL RIGHT NOW MAMA.

The man heard him singing and put him on the radio.

Elvis got married to Priscilla on January the first, it was a memorable day and shortly later they had a beautiful baby girl called Lisa Marie Presley, she was born on the first of February at around 5.01pm. Elvis was so amazed with his new baby girl. It was hard work being a full time dad and the king of rock and roll.

HEALTH

Elvis took drugs and drank a lot. He at least ate 10 ham burgers a day. Elvis had a trailer at the back of Graceland where his drugs were kept .After being through a hard time Elvis became unwell twice he took an overdosed of drugs called barbiturates which led him to be very unwell, he was in a coma for three days .Elvis put too much weight on and that was bad for his health. People that knew him did not recognize him because he was like a balloon.

HIS LAST BOW

On the 17 August, Ginger Alden found Elvis on the bathroom floor dead. At 3:30pm Elvis's death was pronounced at the Baptist Memorial Hospital. Elvis will always be remembered for his MUSIC.
