WARM SHOWERS, were there going to be any during the Perisher series?
YES THEY WERE for the 1st 4 Sundays!!

Laser Perisher Series Races 7&8 were to be held in 20+ knots of wind, this never materialised so we just had upto 15 knots to sail in an very warm. 1st race of the day Barnie should have been Gate boat but due to problems with rigging the elastic never made it to the start line so Joe did the gate boat. Not good as at the windward mark way down the fleet, Richard and Duncan led the way with Tommy in hot pursuit with Mike Atkinson. The beats were very shifty and bands of wind with lots of place changes happening. In the end it was Duncan, Richard and Donald just from Andrew Hartley on his first trip out this year.
The 2nd race had far more place changes, at the windward mark Col was 1st with Duncan on his tail with Barnie and Joe. The reaches not too much excitement then another shifty beat followed by an exciting run with nearly the whole fleet trying to get around the leeward mark together, in the middle of it Barnie capsized and caused all sorts of chaos. Up one of the beats Andrew Hartley capsized (force 3) not sure if 2 Pizza anymore and found mud on top of his mast when ashore. At race finish it was Duncan, Joe and Donald from Mike by a few inches. more......
