Local Attractions
Inchbrook lies at the foot of two wooded valleys, surrounded by flat-topped hills given over to common land. Across the field is the mysterious Woodchester Park, with its myths and legends, lakes and woodland walks, and the unfinished gothic Woodchester Mansion.Nailsworth is reputed to have the largest number of working water wheels in the country. It is a thriving market town with a well-deserved reputation for food. Within a mile and a half of The Laurels we can recommend no less than fourteen places to eat - the choice is varied and superb, from award-winning restaurants to traditional country pubs.
Within easy driving distance are Painswick, Tetbury, Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum. We can advise on Cotswold tours through hidden valleys, fords and picturesque and largely undiscovered villages. The beautiful City of Bath is only half an hour away, as is the regency spa town of Cheltenham.
