This is the Barricade stage of a comp called the "Bianchi" the shooter has to lean around each side of the barricade and shoot at targets ranging from 10 metres out to 35 metres, in four stages.
The person with the competitor is a Range Officer, his job is to time the shooter and to ensure fair play, the little box in his hand is a timer, it gives off an audible beep to start the stage, and again to stop it, it also times the shots, so if the shooter finishes well within the allotted time, the last shot stops the timer and it shows the duration between every shot. Any shots taken before or after the beep are scored as a miss.
Below are some of the Trophys & Medals won by two of the Gallery Rifle shooting members of LCBM in just one season (excluding the rifles!), these include Trophy's/Plaques from Stourport, Minsterly and the Phoenix Postal League, and Medals/Tankards from Bisley, Mattersey & the postal Leagues.
