Firearm: Any GRCF /GRSB
Sights: Any sights.
Targets: Four steel plates, up to 11 inches square, set at varying distances.
Positions: Standing unsupported.
Ready
position:
The gun will be loaded, with the chamber empty, and placed on the
straw bale at the shooting position.
For lever action rifles, the lever must be closed but the hammer
may be cocked to aid racking.
Semi automatic rifles must have the bolt closed.
The shooter will retire to the start line, pick up the can with
the strong hand and position both heels against the kick bar.
Course
of fire:
At the start signal the shooters will move to the shooting
position,
place the can on the post and engage the first three targets in
the order specified in the briefing.
This is followed by a compulsory *reload before
engaging the stop plate.
*(A reload comprises loading a round in a
lever action rifle or loading a fresh magazine in a semi
automatic rifle.)
You will not be allowed to replace the removed magazine and the
fresh magazine must be fully inserted and locked in.
The bout will be decided by
the best of three legs and the winner and loser
will go forward to further bouts as determined by the scoring
system.
Each shooter will compete against at least two opponents before
being knocked out.
Ammunition:
No steel jacketed or Armour piercing rounds.
Equipment:
All ammunition, magazines etc must be carried on a belt, in a
pouch attached to a belt or in a pocket only.
Any item dropped during a leg may not be retrieved.
A dropped gun will result in disqualification.
Procedural
errors:
The competitor can lose a leg for any of the following
reasons:-
A false start,
Removing any equipment from the belt, pockets etc while moving
from the start position to the shooting position,
Holding any equipment in place while moving from the start
position to the shooting position,
Placing the can on the post with the weak hand,
Leaving a target standing,
Shooting the targets in the wrong order,
Failing to reload in the prescribed manner before engaging the
stop plate,
Shooting the opponents stop plate,
Failing to complete the course of fire.
