WHAT IS NLP

WHY SHOULD I BE
INTERESTED?
"NLP" is short for "Neuro Linguistic Programming" - quite a mouthful, and probably not the most motivating title to you, if you have never come across it before. Which really is a shame - because even a little knowledge of NLP can:
• Help you to perform better in everything you do at work and home
• Turn you into a master communicator and influencer
• Give you a new understanding in building relationships
• Make sure that you always win - and never lose again
• Make failure a thing of the past
• Help you get more enjoyment out of life
• Enable you to increase your intellectual ability and your understanding of complex issues
• And - NLP can let you become the person you have always wanted to be!

In the title "Neuro Linguistic Programming", "Neuro" refers to the brain and the mind and the information we take in from the outside world. The "Linguistic" element refers to the way we use language and communicate our ideas. And "Programming" refers to how we put all this together in our minds - to form our personality and preferences.
Having an intimate understanding of ourselves and others - what motivates us, what makes us happy or sad - and understanding the strategies that we all run, both consciously and unconsciously, can allow us to steer the path in life that is most useful to us, and that gets us what we really want and to where we really want to go!
Steven Covey said, "How many of us climb the ladder of success all our life, only to eventually get to the top and find that the ladder is leaning against the wrong wall?" Understanding of NLP will make sure that your ladder is leaning against the right wall!
