Literature of the Greeks and Romans 2009- 2010   odysseus

Did the Trojan War really take place? Who were Hector and Achilles? Heard of Dido and Aeneas but not sure exactly who they were? Through a study of Homer’s Iliad, Virgil’s Aeneid and other works of literature we shall become familiar with these characters who have exerted such a strong influence on literature and mythology through the ages. All literature is read in English translation

The course is run over three ten-week terms. Students can enrol for one, two or all three terms. Please note that courses will run subject to sufficient numbers of students enrolling.
