About Me
Whilst at Lancaster, I was a member of the University’s Ballroom and Latin American dance teams, and competed in various competitions throughout the North West.
Leaving Lancaster, I moved to London and started work for the Church of England's central administration in Westminster. Working life has been varied with roles in asset accounting, change management, training people to use SAP (various modules) and currently a policy role.
Between 1998 and 2001, I studied for an MBA with Manchester Business School, graduating with distinction. My thesis focused on a consideration of the Church of England from a marketing perspective. It utilised the Conversion Model developed in South Africa by Jannie Hofmeyr and Butch Rice, who helpfully contributed to my project. If you're interested in the project, please let me know.
In 1990 I joined the Board of Directors of the Stonewall Group – now, the leading lobby organization working towards lesbian and gay equality. I spent seven years in the post of Treasurer and a member of the Board; and still serve as a member of their central policy steering forum. From 1990 to 1999, I was Financial Director of the Stonewall Iris Trust. The Trust, under the chairmanship of Sir Ian McKellen, is a charitable grant making body focusing on all areas of discrimination.
As you will see from the rest of this site, my interests include travelling, particularly exploring Southern California, design and architecture, spending time with my friends, and as much time as I can in the theatre.
