UK Modern Jive ProAm Competition Sponsored by 'Chance to Dance' 

UK Modern Jive ProAm Champion:  A couple comprising of a Student and his/her Instructor, they should not have competed in a Modern Jive competition together before (this does not include 'Dance with a stranger' competitions, Team competitions or ProAm competitions). An instructor can compete with more than one student - Each Student will dance for around two minutes of Music.

Definition of an Instructor is a professional dancer that teaches Modern Jive on a regular basis, a student is a dancer that has never taught Modern Jive before.

UK Star Studded Modern Jive (social / open) Competition 

UK Star studded Modern Jive Champion:  This is a social competition and is open to any couple including instructors.

Modern Jive Dance with a strange (Jack & Jill) Competition 

Partners are selected at random to compete.

Modern Jive Competition Rules

1) Air Steps are not permitted in the Modern Jive Catogory, the person being led must keep at least one foot below the their partners knee;

2) 70% of the dance Must be recognized as Modern Jive;

3) There are no exceptions to the Division criteria's in the ProAm competition, for both instructor and student;

4) An instructor can compete with more than one student (each round includes around two minutes of dancing)

5) The Judges Decision is final (The competition Judges are world renowned Professionals from across Europe and the dance world);

6) Modern Jive Competitions will be run on the Saturday afternoon, competitors must arrive before 15:00hrs
