Instructor  Course

Our Instructor training course will prepare you for the professional examination.  Passing the exam will allow you to become a member of the 'United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing' and the LeRoc Federation (a non profit making organization).    The Instructor course includes learning the structure of the dance & the footwork correctly, and to a level that is approved by the 'United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing'.  Your lessons must be to a Professional level that demonstrate a consistent structure to the moves & the dance. The moves you teach need to follow a regular format so they are able to blend effortlessly into each other.  You will need to know how to teach Turning / Returning and Spinning correctly (click here to see example) and be able to teach a move to time (a count).  You will be taught so you understand both the lady's and the mans part so you can teach both respectively when asked by students.  You also need to be aware of safety, stage presence and controlling large numbers of people in an organized manner.   Instructor courses are run throughout the UK (Click Here ), if you interested in our next course in the North West or for more information call Johnny 0774 034 8973 

Normal cost of the Instructor Course is £500, OFFER (summer/ autumn  2008) £375   (training for/with your own demonstrator add £100)

Note: there is an examination fee, and a small annual UKA and Federation membership fee.

 

Instructor Crossover Course

If  you already teach and you are at a reasonable level of Instruction we are able to offer a course that will prepare you for the professional examination.  Passing the exam will allow you to become a member of the 'United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing' and the LeRoc Federation (a non profit making organization).  The crossover course includes learning the structure of the dance & the footwork correctly, and to a level that is approved by the 'United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing'.  Your lessons must be to a Professional level that demonstrate the structure of the dance and the moves you teach follow a consistent  format.  You will need to know how to teach Turning / Returning and Spinning correctly (click here to see example) and be able to teach a move to time (a count).   If you interested in our next course in the North West call Johnny on 0774 034 8973

If your interested in starting a venue and want our help and support please contact us.  We can offer deals on instructor courses, information about equipment, Advertising, Music and  qualified instructors to teach for you.  Please note the success of our venues is down to the level of our instruction (we believe this will give you a competitive advantage).  We have to protect the areas around our venues, however we may be interested in business ventures that can work with us.

Your Wedding / Party

We will consider all requests for teaching a lesson (total beginners through to intermediate),  your Music (disco) and / or a dance demonstration, at your wedding / party.  These are very popular and extremely reasonably priced but do depend on our availability and other commitments.
