In March 1978 the vehicle was purchased by Brakell's of Cheam and travelled south.
It was purchased for preservation by Mr P Moore of Beckenham in May 1980. The vehicle was stored in an open yard in Woolwich, South london with a variety of other buses. The site was eventually sold for redevelopment in 1981 and, due to lack of storage, the vehicle was sold to a dealer in January 1982.
Following a number of years languishing in the dealer's yard it was eventually purchased for preservation again in 1985.
Hidden away since then, the bus is now under restoration and will appear on the rally field in the next few years.
