Welling & District Model Engineering Society Public Open Day

Sunday 21st September Open from 2 pm until 5 pm

London Electricity Board Power Station, Rochester Way, Falconwood, Kent

The W&DMES Open Day is one of the best outdoor live steam rides in the south. The venue is conveniently served by buses and nearby Falconwood Station

The Society publicity, sales and recruitment stand will feature staff equipment, 'Richard' the mannequin wearing a BR green motorman's uniform, featuring Top Link Driver Bert Hooker's driver's jacket and greasetop cap. Memoirs and photos of the 1948 locomotive exchange trials will also be included.
