Number Eight

Eight is often said to be the number of finance and business affairs and although this is true up to a point, I feel that it’s more about management. Not necessarily business management but a general ability to manage, whether it’s finances, people or just circumstances of life. These people tend to be very capable and competent. Eights are able to look at the long term vision. They are good at putting ideas into action and are usually good organisers.
This is the number of material success and worldly involvement. It is the number of the cycles of time and of regeneration. Eight is also the number of duality (one circle above a circle).
Eight is the number of tenacity and materialism. These people are usually either great successes or great failures. They have no shades of grey and their failures can be just as spectacular as their successes. These are hard working people with the ability to see the broader picture. They are normally very ambitious, always striving for more. Eights are strong individuals with intense natures and are often able to rise to positions of power.
On a personal level eights often have a hard time. They often seem to face sorrow and humiliation at some point in life. They are also often misunderstood and eights can sometimes be quite lonely people.
Eights are incredibly strong minded individuals who can become stuck in their ways. They often find it difficult to admit to being wrong. Generally speaking these people are wise, adaptable and very capable. In relationships they often find it difficult to express their true feelings and can sometimes need a lot of reassurance that they are loved and needed. They can also become obstinate and too demanding.
On the whole they are usually loyal and devoted partners. These people are not always easy to live with as they can experience extremes of emotions, sometimes loving and easy going, at other times off-hand and detached.
Eights can have a tendency to lack tolerance with people who are less capable than themselves and this is one of the lessons in life for the number eight. There is a need to develop more patience and tolerance for others.
