Park at the top of Eldon Lane and from there follow the obvious footpath. As far as we are aware there is no need to contact the land owner prior to visiting the cave. Foot & Mouth access restrictions have been lifted but the landowner insists that the should be No Litter and No Dogs. The appearance of either of these at Eldon would result in access being denied for everyone in the future. Eyam Dale House Cave Eyam Grid Reference: SK 2196 7626 Altitude: 232m Length: 320m Depth: 56m Access: The cave lies in the grounds of Eyam Dale House Residential Home and it is advisable to book access in advance. Tel 01433 631360 or write to Eyam Dale House Residential Home, Church Street, Eyam, Hope Valley, Derbyshire, S32. The other option is to call on the day to ask for permission. A key required and you may be asked to sign an indemnity and make a donation to the home. Fatigue Pot Coombs Dale, Stoney Middleton Grid Reference: SK 2268 7485 Altitude: 183m Length: 190m Depth: 25m Access: There are no known access restrictions but be aware that the cave lies in the Coombs Dale SSSI. There is an entrance cover that needs to be replaced on leaving the cave. Gautries Hole (P3) Perryfoot, Castleton Grid Reference: SK 1015 8145 Altitude: 310m Length: 250m Access: Park at Perryfoot in the pull-in (SK 10085 81284) and call at Perryfoot Farm opposite. It's probably best to go round to the back door (go down the little road and into the farmyard). A small access fee is charged.
